Multi task ur eye shadow!!!

Hey there! “multi task our eye shadow”, yes! I find this helpful especially when I am travelling. So, enjoy girls!!!

Eyeliner: Apply eye shadow with an angled brush to your lower waterline (click here: anatomy of an eye); it does n’t smudge comparing to pencil eyeliner.

Bronzer/blush: Pick a bronze colored eye shadow to contour your cheeks or pink/peach color on your apples of your cheek (eye shadow is highly pigmented comparing to the bronzers/blushes so swipe the product just once!!!)

Lipstick: Dab some petroleum jelly on your lips and apply your favorite eye shadow color. If you have a mineralized powered shadow, mix it up with a transparent lip gloss to create your own customized lip gloss.

Brow Powder: We get different shades of brow powder in the market, but we can still work with dark shade of eye shadows like black, dark grey, dark brown etc. Apply it with an angled brush on your brows to give that natural look comparing to the brow pencil.

Nail Polish: Mix the powdered shadow with a transparent nail polish to create a customized nail polish.

TEEJ fever: Touch up tips!!!

Pic: Saroj Man Tuladhar @Ads!
Hey there! I know I have disappeared for a while, you guys have no idea how much I missed you all. I got engaged in few projects, which made me so occupied that I didn’t have any time to write! And, yes! I am finally here to write more about make-up tips.

“Teej” is coming near, which is Nepali women’s one of the most important festival. So, I thought sharing few of my touch up tips which will help you all specially when you are dancing and standing up in the line under the scorching heat!

Firstly, let’s start on what to carry in your purse for a quick TOUCH UP!

1.     Ear buds
2.     Wet wipes
3.     Cotton Balls
4.     Paper towel or blotting tissues or dry tissues
5.     Translucent powder or Powder foundation
6.     Kabuki brush
7.     Eyeliner
8.     Eye shadows, angled brush
9.     Foundation, concealer (if needed for a heavy touch ups)
10. Lipstick/ Lip gloss
11. Hand sanitizer

Re-applying lipstick and kajal are very basic touch ups, which most of us are aware of, and most of us tend to follow :). Besides, this let me share few of my touch tips that I usually follow,

1.     Firstly, I like to blot all the excess oil away from my shiny parts of my face, especially on my “T- zone area” (forehead and nose area). This helps to remove excess oils from the face and prevents caked up look.

2.     I usually don't do touch ups on foundations or concealers unless I have to, however if I do, I apply little at a time(remember little is more… you can easily add the product if you want)

3.     Re-applying blushes can freshen up your look, for touch ups I like to apply very little, it shouldn’t be heavy like you initially applied or else you'll look like a clown.

4.     “Fasting” can be tiring; to have a fresh look I like to swipe (with an angled brush) a bright shimmer (maybe in white or champagne) shadow under my brow bone, inner corner and my lower waterline depending on the look.

5.     When re-applying lip glosses or creamy lipsticks, I first like to blot the product with a blotting paper/tissue/paper towel or remove the entire product with a wet tissue first and apply the lipstick or lip gloss.

And remember, touching up makeup doesn’t really mean doing your entire face all over again, it simply means that you take off what’s little ruined and replace it with a fresh, new layer!

Happy TEEJ ya’ll! Have fun ;)
